Genetic Attributions and Obesity Study

This project will examine primary care physicians’ attitudes and beliefs about genetic causes of obesity in patients with different racial backgrounds, as well as perceptions among adults with obesity of physicians who endorse genetic explanations of obesity.
Health-Related Thoughts and Social Experiences (HEARTS) Study

This study will test the effects of a group psychological intervention, and of a peer support intervention, that aim to help individuals cope with social aspects of health conditions, improve how they think and feel about themselves, and improve their quality of life.
